Static Shelter

Due to COVID-19, we were unable to operate a church-based rotating winter night shelter for winter 2020/21 and winter 2021/22.

• In winter 2020/21, we partnered with Southwark Council to support the stay of 37 guests at Best Western Peckham, and to plan their moving on. We also provided accommodation in Friendship House for 11 guests received from various referral agencies for the month of April.

• In winter 2021/22, we supported the stay of 28 guests at Davies Court and 2 guests in Friendship House from October 2021 till the end of March 2022.

All above accommodation were covid safe individual rooms with en-suite facilities, sharing a communal kitchen.

Our main focus during their stay was to ensure guests’ physical survival needs were being met. Our shelter teams also supported us by providing weekly support packages and hot dinner service on allocated days. Our advice workers also worked with Robes guests to provide support and encouragement in making helpful changes and finding a sustainable solution out of homelessness.
