We have successfully completed another winter. Despite the COVID-19, we were able to come together, and explore other possibilities of how we can continue supporting people experiencing homelessness within Southwark and Lambeth. A massive thank you to all our volunteers, partners and donors for supporting us this season. None of this would have been possible without you.

Impact 2020- 2021

This season, we partnered with Southwark Council to support the stay and move on of 37 guests staying in emergency accommodation. We also provided accommodation for 11 guests received via our referral agencies to support their stay and move on in April. Our shelter teams also provided care packages to guests staying in emergency accommodation.

We also opened a Tuesday Club in partnership with Holy Trinity Clapham where we provide hot lunch meals, care packages and advice support.

Ex-Chairman of Robes receives Maundy Money from Her Majesty the Queen

Many congratulations to George Martin, immediate past Robes Chair, on his selection as a 2021 recipient to receive Maundy Money from Her Majesty the Queen. George received the great news in a letter from her, personally addressed to him from Windsor Castle. This hugely deserved honour clearly relates to George’s 13 years involvement in Robes from the very beginning through to Robes present-day success. George is delighted to have received this honour and says “I have done my best over the years in making churches and community aware of the social issue of homelessness in our city.  I can look back at the countless people we have helped in the community and I find this very gratifying that I have identified the human face of the church in this great social issue. I also feel the Robes Project is the most successful ecumenical project in the Diocese of Southwark”.
