Robes Project is thinking about various ways to adapt our work this winter season we have a few questions for you to help us with these decisions:
Hosting Scheme:
Hosting is an effective way of channelling and supporting help and hospitality from individuals willing to accommodate people unable to pay rent. Hosting is simply where someone offers a room in their house to someone in need. This scheme has been piloted and expanded by Housing Justice who are willing to partner with Robes if we wish to go ahead. Robes would like to explore the possibility of launching such a scheme for short periods of time with low risk guests. We are looking for 6 – 11 hosts and training and support would be given before and during this scheme. Would you be interested in an online Q and A to know more about the Hosting Scheme?

Shelters:
Due to COVID-19 having a rotational, dormitory style shelter has been strongly advised against while there is no vaccine. Robes is looking into having a static shelter. For us to become possible we need access to a building/ buildings where guests have their own room and access to a toile and shower the best would be a hotel or student accommodation style building in Southwark and or Lambeth or even surrounding boroughs. Would your building be appropriate for this use?
Do you know a building that would be useful for this purpose for this winter?
Another option is if each shelter has 1 or 2 rooms where a guest could stay for half or the whole season with access to toiles and possibly a shower we could us explore this option, does your shelter building have access to 1 or 2 rooms for a guest for half or the whole season?
