LAUNCHING ROBES RUN

This month, our weekly Wednesday Robes Run was launched. Wednesday Club volunteers Gina, Eve and Michelle have been creating care packages in their homes. Each week a Robes staff member and volunteer driver are delivering the packages to our 17 guests and 14 ex-guests in hotels and in temporary accommodation. Alongside the Robes Run, this week we launched Robes ‘Check In and Chat’, a befriending telephone service for guests to have a weekly catch up with a designated volunteer. ROBES CHARITY PUB QUIZ

This May Bank holiday Monday, Robes Fundraising Committee hosted a Charity Pub Quiz. Over 40 households took part, and a fantastic £836 has been raised via https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/robescharityquiz!

All the contributions, from event host Mark, quiz master Alan, the Trustees Wendy and Jeremy, Robes staff and the enthusiastic players and volunteers made the event so successful. Congratulations to teams ‘I Forever’ and ‘King’s’ for taking joint first place.

Thank you to Jo, and the rest of the team at Holy Trinity Clapham, who have provided Robes guests with care packages and support right from the beginning of the lock down. Your contribution and help has been really appreciated by the Robes guests and staff.

We also want to say thank you to Southwark Square space Ltd, for offering Robes storage facilities for free during the shelter season.

FROM THE CHAIR OF ROBES – SLEEPOUT 2019

​As Chair of Robes Trustees I want to thank all those who supported the 2019 Sleepout which has raised just over £90,000.
This was a amazing result considering the event was  cancelled due to a terrorist attack on London Bridge earlier that day.

Do hope you will join us for the 2020 Sleepout which will be on Friday 27th November. Over 9 years our supporters have helped us to raise the staggering amount of £878,000. For 2020 we would like to raise £122,000 and with  your support I think we could achieve this which would mean over 10 years we would have raised ONE MILLION POUNDS.
