SLEEPOUT 2019 AND THE LONDON BRIDGE INCIDENT
Robes Project feels deeply for those affected by the incident at London Bridge on Friday, November 29th and our hearts go out to them. No-one could predict that these things would happen.
Despite this many SleepOut participants were not deterred. We have heard several stories of those who were able to find a safe place to SleepOut in on that night.
Edward Parry and his children all slept out in there garden and have raised the amazing amount of £10,527

GUEST STORY
Jonathan and Jason were not known to each other until they crossed paths this year at the Robes Shelter, they had a lot in common even if they did not know it yet.
They are both under 25 years old and Europeans, and they both became homeless due to abusive practices of subletting Landlords.
Robes Shelter has helped them recover and provided them with financial and emotional support to be able to start working again.
They both recently started working for Change Please, a local company that promotes second opportunities for people facing homelessness through Barista training and employment.
Robes Winter Shelter is not just a temporary solution from the cold, it is aimed to be a tool to empower people to recover their lives. We are pleased to share these stories following our commitment to changing the perception of homelessness while keeping on promoting positive ways to help.
