Are you ready to enjoy good food, chat, games, and some help with moving your home and work situation forward?
Well, if you have ever stayed at a Robes night shelter, please join us for lunch every Wednesday between 11am and 2pm. This
Wednesday Club is kindly hosted by the Crossway Christian Centre.
We get together to cook and eat a great meal. We enjoy a chat and games like table tennis and pool, watch a film, or swap books.
Sometimes we even manage an outing, like this trip to the glorious views of the Sky Garden:
Once a month the wonderful team from Be Enriched run a cooking club for us, teaching us creative ways to make simple, healthy, cheap food.
Coming to the Wednesday Club will also give you a chance to catch up with our advice worker, to discuss your housing, benefits or other questions. If you’re a current guest you’ll get a chance to discuss your individual action plan.
And there are opportunities to find out more about other organisations that can help you with things like employability and training, and to meet people who may be able to help.
“I think every little helps”
”I am 18 years old, and last year I helped Robes with the Wednesday Club. It’s a place where all guests of Robes can go for a few hours of distraction in the middle of the day. Guests can cook, have a cup of tea, play a card game or whatever they want to relax for a while. I think every little helps.”
